The Rossony District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection is carrying out control measures to ensure compliance by land users with issued requirements
The Rossonsky District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection conducts control measures to ensure that land users comply with issued requirements (orders) for eliminating identified violations of environmental legislation regarding measures to control the population of invasive plant species, as well as control over chemical treatment of areas where Sosnowsky hogweed and Canadian goldenrod grow.
In case of failure to comply with or improper compliance with a written requirement (order), officials are brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 24.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
Article 16.46 of the Code of Administrative Offenses also establishes the responsibility of land users for failing to carry out measures to control the spread and population of invasive plant species (e.g., Sosnowsky hogweed, Canadian goldenrod).
The article provides for penalties for owners and tenants of land plots for refusing to independently combat hazardous vegetation in the form of a fine of up to 10 base units.
