A Minsk resident drowned in a lake in the Dokshitsky district

On June 26 at 15:32, rescuers of the Dokshytsy district received a report of a drowning person in Lake Domashkovskoye in the village of Domashkovichi.

Before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, the body of a drowned man born in 1962 was recovered from the water by the local population.

It was later established that about two weeks prior, the deceased and his wife had come from Minsk to their dacha located in the village of Domashkovichi. Around 15:00 on 26.06.2024, they went to swim in the lake. According to his wife, while swimming, her husband felt unwell, lost consciousness, and began to drown.

There are no designated swimming areas at this water body.

Dear citizens! Remember the important rules:

• swim in designated areas, at equipped beaches;
• do not enter the water while intoxicated;
• avoid swimming alone, especially if you are unsure of your abilities, in the evening and at night;
• swim away from moving vessels, boats, rafts, do not dive under them;
• do not swim beyond buoys and other barriers;
• do not lose sight of your child and do not let them go to the water without adult supervision.
