A residential building caught fire in the agro-town of Klyastitsy

On March 6 at 16:14, the operational management center of the Rossony District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a residential house fire on Lesnaya Street in the agro-town of Klyastitsy.

Upon arrival at the scene, open burning of the house roof and an extension was observed.

The owner, born in 1982, was at work in Rossony at the time of the fire. No one was in the house at the time of the fire. There were no casualties.

As a result of the fire, the roof, wooden extension, and property were destroyed, and the walls were damaged.

The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is violation of the rules for operating electrical networks and electrical equipment (washing machine ignition).

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds of the basic requirements of fire safety rules for the operation of electrical networks and electrical equipment:

• before using electrical appliances, carefully study the operating instructions and strictly follow them;
• use only serviceable electrical appliances;
• do not overload the electrical network and overheat electrical appliances;
• after using the electrical appliance, disconnect it from the electrical network. Do not leave electrical appliances, mobile phone chargers, and other gadgets and devices plugged into the electrical network unattended;
• install heating appliances on non-combustible bases or stands;
• install protection devices only of factory production;
• avoid using sockets, switches, and junction boxes with damaged casings;
• the rescuer phone number is 101, 112.
