The social orientation of our state is enshrined in the Constitution. At the present stage, social policy has a number of features that are determined by:

• the country's transitional period;
• the presence of economic difficulties, which reduces the possibilities for implementing social policy;
• changes in the demographic situation.

Taking these circumstances into account, changes in social policy have been implemented at the state level. They have been expressed in the streamlining of social benefits and the strengthening of targeted social assistance. Social policy is primarily related to the implementation of social protection functions. It is expressed in assistance to single elderly citizens, which is carried out by territorial centers for public services:

• Creation of a network of boarding schools for the elderly and disabled
• Support for war and labor veterans.
• Support for disabled people.
• Employment policy.
• Development of the pension system.

The function of social development is also being implemented in our country, which is expressed in the improvement of healthcare, preschool institutions, the education system, culture, science, and sports.
