The Department of Population Employment and Socio-Labor Relations carries out work with citizens in the following main areas in the field of promoting population employment:
- providing information on the availability of vacant positions (job openings), information on the selection of citizens for civil law contract activities, as well as information on jobs planned for creation and filling in organizations of the district;
- advising citizens on employment legislation;
- registering citizens who apply for employment assistance;
- providing assistance in finding suitable work for citizens who apply;
- organizing paid temporary work;
- assisting unemployed individuals in organizing their own entrepreneurial activities;
- organizing temporary employment for students in educational institutions during their free time;
- assisting unemployed individuals in gaining practical work experience;
- organizing relocation of unemployed individuals and their family members in connection with moving to work in another locality;
- organizing adaptation to work activities for disabled individuals registered as unemployed;
- advising citizens on career choice, change of occupation, and professional development;
- organizing training upon referral from labor, employment, and social protection authorities;
- calculating and paying unemployment benefits;
- calculating and paying maternity benefits to women registered as unemployed, as well as those undergoing training upon referral from labor, employment, and social protection authorities;
- issuing certificates on a citizen's registration as unemployed, on the period of receiving maternity benefits, on alimony deductions and their amount.
- assisting employers in selecting the necessary employees;
- informing about the state of the labor market and its development trends;
- advising employers and HR staff within the scope of their competence on socio-labor issues and employment legislation;
- professional information and consulting assistance to employees of enterprises and organizations subject to dismissal due to staff or workforce reduction;
- vocational training, professional development, retraining of personnel, acquisition of educational program content for training courses for the unemployed, including by order of employers;
- partial compensation to employers for labor costs when employing the unemployed to gain practical experience in their acquired profession, specialty (specialization), or qualification;
- financing of measures for organizing the adaptation of disabled persons registered as unemployed to work activities;
- reimbursement and financing of employer costs for the purchase of specialized equipment when creating workplaces for the employment of disabled persons;
- financing of measures for organizing temporary employment of youth during their free time from studies and during summer holidays.
